Your home as your retreat

A while ago I came across an article about the importance of a QUIET, SERENE PLACE for highly sensitive people.

I completely agree with the article however during my years developing activity based offices, I’ve seen a similar pattern, though it applies for everyone at some point during the days, depending on what they are working with at the moment. Is it a video call, a phone meeting or something out of your comfort zone that requires extra attention from you…

That also made me reflect upon all the people working from home at the moment. DO you have a “quite zone” in your home, if you can’t implement the idea of your home as a RETREAT (which I believe would be very good for most people) would you instead be able to make a part of your home a place for reflection? -with no visual clutter, a refuge from the chaos and overstimulation of the outside world.

Minimalism is not a trend, it is about decluttering our homes so that we can release the feeling of being overwhelmed and stressed. If you can’t change your entire home, start with a corner or one room and see the effect it will have on you.

Adding some inspiration to get started…
